How I work on it
Static-first. Pages are rendered to HTML at build time, so there is no server work between a crawler asking for a page and getting it. JavaScript ships only where something on the page actually needs it — a menu, a form — rather than as a framework runtime on every page.
The things that usually get left until launch week are done from the start: structured data, canonical URLs, sitemap, image optimisation, and lead capture that goes somewhere you control.
Who it suits
Businesses whose current site is slow, hard to update, or structurally incapable of ranking — one page trying to cover six services, or a page builder generating markup that no amount of on-page work can rescue.
Common questions
What do you build sites with?
Astro, generally, output as static HTML with a small server only where something genuinely needs one — a contact form endpoint, say. It produces the fastest sites for this kind of business and it keeps the SEO fundamentals under my control rather than a plugin's.
Can you work with my existing WordPress site?
Yes, for audits, technical fixes and performance work. If the goal is a rebuild, I will usually recommend moving off it — but that is a recommendation, not a condition.
Do I own the site?
Entirely. The code is yours, it deploys to hosting you control, and there is no proprietary platform to be locked into.
Will it be fast?
That is most of the point. Static HTML, self-hosted fonts, optimised images, and no framework shipped to the browser unless something on the page needs it.
